Starting online advertising?

SEA allows you to bring in more leads quickly and in a targeted way. They are the familiar ads you see at the top of search queries in search engine Google. Nowadays, by the way, also at the bottom of Google. This is a signal from the search engine giant about the importance they attach to these ads, as it is a powerful revenue model. But there is also a lot to gain for your business from Google advertising. But what exactly is it and how do you deploy these ads well and at the lowest possible budget?

When advertising online, be smart with your ad budget

SEA stands for search engine advertising and is also known as search engine advertising. You advertise online with keywords on search engines such as Google. Because Google is by far the most used search engine in the Netherlands, we keep it as the default. Online advertising on Google is done via Google Ads. After a keyword research, you know which keywords you will use to advertise your company, service or product online. Relevance is important here to achieve the highest possible Click Through Rate (CTR), the clicks on the ad that lead to your web page. This involves setting your ad budget, which you use for your CPC bid, among other things. The bid you do on the search term in question and what it you thus Cost-Per-Click. If someone clicks on your ad, this amount is therefore deducted from your ad budget. This can all be set very specifically. How high this amount is? That's the game. And that depends heavily on the competition that also wants to be found on the same search term.

Make the most of your marketing budget when advertising online

So you basically pay per bid for online advertising. But before the time comes, you have already done a lot of preliminary research and settings as an investment. Incidentally, this also applies to SEO, which stands for Search Engine Optimisation. This is getting higher in Google organically. This costs no extra budget, but much more time and investment than online advertising (SEA). Both forms of search engine marketing require keyword research. Perhaps you already score well in Google organically with a number of terms and you want to be found well with other search terms as well through SEA. Or maybe you want to be found organically on as many search terms as possible. If so, it is good to combine SEA and SEO, since you have to do your preliminary research anyway. Moreover, SEO and SEA not only complement each other nicely, they also reinforce each other. But of course, the possibilities remain somewhat dependent on your overall marketing budget or the time investment you have to make.

Online advertising is indispensable, but use it wisely

It's an issue many start-ups or smaller entrepreneurs struggle with: how to advertise online as efficiently as possible? Do it all yourself and compete against your competition, on top of all your other work? You can give it a shot. But if you first have to delve into all the options and ways of execution (in addition to your other work), do the preliminary research (in addition to your other work), set up, deploy, track, measure, analyse and optimise everything (in addition to your other work)... then sooner or later you will most likely come to the realisation that outsourcing your online marketing is the most efficient. Specialists who know the ropes on all fronts and achieve optimal results for your business at the lowest possible cost. Talk to a recognised SEA agency. If there is a mutual click, you will really reap the benefits based on trust.
