There are a number of ways to do this, I discuss the main ones here:
- Think logical na: how would your customer search if they were looking for a company like yours. And remember: the simpler, the better! Keep in mind that through Google, you want to reach people who will find you don't know yet.
- View how often searches for the different keywords in Google (the search volume). Some tools to investigate this are:
- It is also good to think about keywords with less competition. For example: if you have a plumbing business in Amsterdam, you might consider advertising on "goedkope loodgieter amsterdam zuid" rather than "loodgieter amsterdam". Although the first term is searched for less often, it also has less competition (and therefore the cost per click is often cheaper) and is more relevant, making people more likely to contact you if you are indeed in Amsterdam South.
- Make sure keywords also appear on your website, so that Google "knows" what your website is about. Also, visitors to your website will "recognise" themselves if the keyword they just typed in also appears on your website.
Greetings and good luck with Google!
